Michael is a commercial and company lawyer with 20 years of experience. Naomi is a commercial lawyer with over 10 years’ post-qualification experience in both private practice and industry and Fendercare Marine Limited. Laura is a commercial lawyer who specialises in intellectual property and has experience working in both private practice and on secondments to Virgin Atlantic Airways and Microsoft. Laura spent several years at London law firm, Harbottle & Lewis LLP, where she advised clients on a broad range of commercial matters, as well as brand protection issues such as copyright, infringement disputes and trade mark registration. Christine is a senior international legal adviser. During her career, she had the opportunity to hold several in-house roles in technology multinationals (such as Amazon and Etix Everywhere) and provided services to UK top law firms. With an extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional legal projects (particularly as a contracts specialist), her best areas of expertise include IT, IP, e-commerce, data protection, eDiscovery and new technologies. Besides her solid experience of general commercial law matters, she has also gained significant insight into international fundraising and corporate sponsorship tax incentives for social/cultural projects.
Aji is a qualified lawyer, who has carved out a niche advising on business development with a specific focus on Africa. Aji was named as one of the UK’s top eight future ‘BAME’ leaders and listed as one of the UK’s top 100 ‘Creative Changemakers’.
Aji is also the co-chair of a social enterprise named The Law Collective which has been responsible for helping hundreds of Black students secure jobs within the legal profession. He is a committee member of the British Nigeria Law Forum and co-head of their junior lawyers’ division, a board member of London-based start-up community organisation ‘YSYS’.
Amna is a practising lawyer who has diverse experience of being an in-house counsel in one of the leading banks of Pakistan. She is fully in litigation, regularly appear in Courts and works aside on a wide range of areas of law including, taxation, imports/exports/customs, intellectual property, land and property disputes and commercial litigation, employment and labour laws. In addition to the above, Amna regularly provides opinion and consultancy, drafts legal documents and conduct due diligence for individuals and companies. She also has the experience of incorporating companies and non-governmental organizations through trust deeds, and as societies and associations not for profit.
Amit was originally a science graduate and has since having re-qualified in law in 2005, has been a partner in a London practice as well as a consultant in legal 500 firms. He has specialised as a commercial real estate solicitor but has had a very broad commercial practice, which leads to an understanding of most unusual day to day business issues. Amit is a problem solving solicitor, who understands that clients want real world commercial advice and solutions, and not just the law quoted to them. Amit works collaboratively with his clients to ensure they understand their issues and manages their commercial expectations effectively at all times.
Jean graduated with a Law degree from the University of Birmingham. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course with distinction at the College of Law in London. Jean has gained a large amount of experience as a commercial lawyer since qualifying as a solicitor 10 years ago. She has worked as a legal counsel for global companies in the finance, telecoms, IT and travel industries. Jean can count on her portfolio brands such as HTC, for which she operated for the EMEA region; but also Travelport, for which she worked as a legal counsellor.
