Meet Mikael Metthey, the Co-Founder and CEO of Careviz. Careviz is a mobile platform dedicated to cancer patients and their families. The company hopes to utilize technology to improve the journeys of cancer patients.
What does your company do?
Mikael: We regroup products and services needed by cancer patients and their families.
What inspired you to start Careviz?
Mikael: Challenging family experiences inspired me to take action and improve the patient experience.
What has your company accomplished this year, and how does this make you feel?
Mikael: We are currently building our mobile app MVP and are about to launch on the App store. This is the culmination of months of preparation and execution. It’s great to finally be able to show the app to the world. We’re excited to hear what our users think.
What are some ways your company focuses on team development?
Mikael: Our current stage (pre-seed) forces us to work with very limited resources. We surround ourselves with people who share our vision and want to participate in something that has the potential to improve a lot of lives. In the future, we will look for the same commitment to helping patients and the cancer community be more comfortable and connected.
What do you love most about your customers?
Mikael: I love that patients see life with a very different lens. When diagnosed with cancer, many people reassess what is important and what isn’t. There is a splendid clarity in the spirits of those who fight cancer. It gives them perspective. We’d like our app to become a home for patients to share these perspectives.
What’s next for Careviz?
Mikael: In a few weeks, we will release our app. We will then look to promote it and build traction. If this goes well, we aim to raise seed funding to take us to the next level of development of our service.
